If you haven’t already, head to your local theater to watch this on the big screen! In the meantime here’s an MBTI list of some of the incredibly colorful characters from Wakanda Forever.
Which of the characters are you?
Princess Shuri – ENTP “The Visionary”
“Brilliance at a young age is not always accepted by the elders.”
Shuri may be the princess of Wakanda, but she is notoriously rebellious and revels in breaking the rules and tradition. As the younger sister of T’Challa, and the daughter of Queen Ramonda, Shuri is a powerhouse leader in her own right. As Wakanda’s youthful tech genius she innovates and creates new technology for Wakanda, the Dora Milaje, and the Black Panther. Her love for her country rivals her love for her family. ENTPs are inspired innovators, motivated to find new solutions to intellectually challenging problems. They are curious and clever and seek to comprehend the people, systems, and principles that surround them.
K'uk'ulkan aka "Namor" – ENTJ “The Commander”
“How is never as important as why.”
Namor, is the enigmatic ruler of Talokan, an underwater nation of people descended from an ancient Mayan community. As the first and last Talokanil mutant hybrid, Namor possesses the ability to live on land and sea, super strength, flight, and long life. As his people’s leader Namor will stop at nothing to protect Talokan. ENTJs are strategic leaders, motivated to organize change. They are quick to see inefficiency and conceptualize new solutions and enjoy developing long-range plans to accomplish their vision. They excel at logical reasoning and are usually articulate and quick-witted.
Riri Williams – ESTP “The Dynamo”
“To be young, gifted, and black though, right? They probably don’t say that in Wakanda.”
Riri is a 19-year-old genius attending MIT, who in her spare time was inspired by Tony Stark, AKA Iron Man, and secretly builds her own suit of armor - look out Shuri you may have met your match! As a Wakandan outsider, Riri brings a fresh perspective to the high-tech world of Wakanda. ESTPs are energetic thrillseekers who are at their best when putting out fires, whether literal or metaphorical. They bring a sense of dynamic energy to their interactions with others and the world around them.
Lord M’Baku – ESTJ “The Supervisor”
“The Black Panther lives!”
As the leader of the Jabari Tribe, Lord M’Baku is a Wakandan traditionalist. His mountain tribe removed themselves from mainstream society and technology, priding themselves in looking over Wakanda and its original traditions. While M’Baku may not always see eye to eye with those on the Wakandan Throne or the Black Panther, his loyalty and love will always be with Wakanda. ESTJs are hardworking traditionalists, eager to take charge in organizing projects and people. Orderly, rule-abiding, and conscientious, ESTJs like to get things done, and tend to go about projects in a systematic, methodical way.
Nakia – ENFJ “The Teacher”
“To everyone, he was a king. But to me, he was everything.”
As an undercover Wakandan spy Nakia was sent on missions all around the globe, which opened up her eyes to the hardships of the world and inspired her belief that Wakanda should actively help. After T'Challa decided to bring Wakanda out of the shadows, Nakia was appointed to oversee the humanitarian policy of Wakanda. While she loves her country it is her deep love for T’Challa that drives Nakia. ENFJs are idealist organizers, driven to implement their vision of what is best for humanity. They often act as catalysts for human growth because of their ability to see potential in other people and their charisma in persuading others to their ideas.
Okoye – ISTJ “The Inspector”
“I have given everything. Let me die serving my country!”
Okoye is the General of the Dora Milaje, Wakanda’s all-female elite warrior group, and whose loyalty to Wakanda knows no bounds! At her core, she believes in order and tradition, but as rebellious Princess Shuri’s protector/close friend Okoye must embrace change and transformation. ISTJs are responsible organizers, driven to create and enforce order within systems and institutions. They are neat and orderly, inside and out, and tend to have a procedure for everything they do.
N'Jadaka aka “Erik Killmonger” – ESFP “The Performer”
“Are you going to be noble like your brother or take care of business like me?”
In life Erik Killmonger wanted nothing but to take the throne of Wakanda, to bring change and justice to the world. As an exiled Wakandan child who experienced and grew up in hardship, this drove Erik Killmonger to accomplish deeds that even alluded the Black Panther. As a leader, he was charming, powerful, and ambitious. ESFPs are vivacious entertainers who charm and engage those around them. They are spontaneous, energetic, and fun-loving, and take pleasure in the things around them: food, clothes, nature, animals, and especially people.
Aneka – ISFP “The Composer”
“Shuri gave me these to try. You know, I like them better.”
Aneka is a Wakandan warrior and a leader within the Dora Milaje, the elite group of warriors trained to protect Wakanda. Where many follow tradition, Aneka seems to have a rebellious streak and loves trying new things. ISFPs are gentle caretakers who live in the present moment and enjoy their surroundings with cheerful, low-key enthusiasm. They are flexible and spontaneous and like to go with the flow to enjoy what life has to offer.
