Queen Guinevere

This was a difficult project made of stretch velvet and satin (the two worst fabrics ever). It took approximately 5 weeks from mock-up to finish. She's fitted perfectly to my measurements using a pattern I modified significantly. I had to add approximately one and half feet to the sleeves to get it the right length. The sleeves are about 2 yards each. I had to create the pattern for the neckline separate from the pattern. I sewed in embroidered patches after completion. The girdle was made from an old belt I took apart and put back together.
