Beatrix, Umineko dress costume I completed in 2018.

This probably the most fun I had drafting a costume (But I can't say it the most fun costume to sew xD). I always believe every curve and line has it's own energy. The thickness of the line itself can give the pattern extra elegance point. Too thick it will become blunt and too thin the volume is not there. So I applied both together to create a rhythm on the pattern.

The fabric was also a lucky found. The darkest reddish brown that represent the original design. I bought the remaining stock that day and I used up everything. 1 metre short and I be in big dodo. The chiffon for the gathers underskirt also a good found to complete the whole set.

The 2 layers puff sleeves is stuffed with tulle and underlay with a flat layer of tulle as well to create the puff. The top is separated with the skirt which has build in boning under the lining.
