Six-Eared Macaque

Started in May of 2022, completed in July of 2022.

The main thing I wanted out of this project was to use up a lot of old fabric, but it absolutely snowballed into a huge undertaking. The shirt was made out of scraps without any pattern or drafting, a mistake I hope not to repeat again. The other big challenge for me was making the armor pieces and wrist cuffs using EVA foam, which I don't use too often, and they definitely look like the scrappiest part of this costume, but the rest was fairly straightforward. My favorite part is easily the tail, which is fully articulated and has fishing line connected to different points on the tail and on the gloves so that it can be puppeteered by simply moving my arms, something that I really want to make another version of someday!
