Hanfu
Hanfu refers to the historical clothing worn by ancient chinese people and are characterized by wide sleeves and flowy skirt. Let's take a look at some of the best hanfu from the drama. So many dreamy creations to choose from! This is a list of my personal favorites so here we go:
1. The Pillowy Cloud
One of my favorites from the show. This costume is simple yet so dreamy and elegant. Made of many layers of soft tulle and chiffon, this Hanfu features a very long train and many layers. The fabric is soft and hugs the curves yet when she moves or flies, all the layers show and it literally looks like Yang Mi is walking through cloud.
2. The Gray Gradient
This is worn by Bai Qian (actress Yang Mi) at the very end of the series when she is waiting for her loved one to be resurrected. It is a soft gray overcoat worn over her flowy white underdress that achieves a gradient look. The grey overcoat also has a lot of feather detail at the bottom that makes her look regal and celestial.
3. The Beige Floral
Another Hanfu that accentuate the soft femininity of her character is this beige floral Hanfu. The overcoat has soft lace floral applique that is a gentle contrast against the beige tulle. The color scheme is super romantic and is often used for wedding dresses as well.
4. The Color Block
Another costume that is worn for several episodes is the blue beige color block Hanfu. The aqua ads a touch of playfulness to the mood and is another pillowy romantic creation.
5. The Red Floral
This is another eye popper from the show. Red floral details on grey tulle is so pretty from afar. I put it at fifth because I would prefer the details to have more dimension and a little more romantic. Overall though, such a pretty design.
Armors
The various battles in this drama also showcased some to-die for armors. Look at the detail and craftsmanship on these costumes below.
1. Bai Qian's Armor
Wow, just look at those details and the intricate design of each piece.
2. Ye Hua/ Mo Yuan's Armor
